About This Tour
Kerala , called Keralam in Malayalam , is a state on the Malabar Coast of India. It was formed on 1 November 1956, following the passage of the States Reorganisation Act, by combining Malayalam-speaking regions of the erstwhile regions of Cochin, Malabar, South Canara, and Travancore. Spread over 38,863 km2 , Kerala is the 21st largest Indian state by area.
It is bordered by Karnataka to the north and northeast, Tamil Nadu to the east and south, and the Lakshadweep Sea to the west. With 33 million inhabitants as per the 2011 census, Kerala is the 13th-largest Indian state by population. It is divided into 14 districts with the capital being Thiruvananthapuram. Malayalam is the most widely spoken language and is also the official language of the state. Kerala is the second-most urbanised major state in the country with 47.7% urban population according to the 2011 Census of India. The state topped in the country to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals according to the annual report of NITI Aayog published in 2019.

plantations, colonial cottages and foamy waterfalls with a cool breeze cuddling your
face. Enroute, witness the natural beauty of Valara and Cheeyappara Falls with
blossom garden.

After having a delicious breakfast, set out for a visit to the Eravikulam National Park, a must visit when in Munnar. Lush green rising and falling hills of this park are home to the Nilgiri Tahr, an endangered species of mountain goat. The next stop is the Tea Museum by Tata Tea, where you not only get to understand the tinges of tea processing but also get to sample an energizing cup of tea.
After your visit to the tea museum, it is time to visit Rose Garden, Photo Point,
Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point. Once you are done with the day’s sightseeing binge, return to hotel for some time at leisure.

Today after breakfast proceed for local sightseeing covering Sree Padmanabhaswamy
Temple, which is 16th century temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu is the most impressive
landmark of the city. Later visit Trivandrum Zoo, Sree Chitra Art Gallery, NapierMuseum
(Closed on Mondays, Wednesday, Govt Holidays, Visiting time: 1.00 PM to 4.45 PM),
Science and technology museum (Closed on Mondays) etc. Enjoy sun set in the
evening relaxing on the beach.
